Background

WWF’s mission in Cambodia is to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. The WWF-Cambodia programme is part of WWF’s regional Greater Mekong Programme operating in Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia.
 
The 3-year USAID-funded project Mekong for the Future aims to improve natural resource governance in the Greater Mekong through strengthening civil society’s ability to engage in natural resource governance and improving their access to and understanding of environmental data from public and private actors. The Project will be implemented in the lower Mekong countries, Cambodia, Lao, Myanmar, Thailand and Viet Nam from September 2020 to September 2023.
 
WWF-Cambodia is now seeking to recruit a consultant to conduct an assessment study on challenges and gaps of mining policy framework implementation and civil society organization engagement toward responsible mining investment. The consultant will intermittently work for 30 days, between September and October 2021
