Business Development Manager for Water

Rural Water and Sanitation Team (RWST) is a social enterprise and a service provider for WASH-SMEs and WASH Agents. RWST works closely with private sector, local community, government and NGOs to increase business effectiveness and efficiency of WASH enterprises. RWST works with the International Centre for Clean Water (ICCS) in India to bring a new technology to remove arsenic and metal from water known as AMRIT (Arsenic and Metal Removal Technology) to Cambodia’s market, especially to rural area where grown water contaminated with Arsenic and Metal.

ICCW is an initiative of IIT Madras in collaboration with Saraya Global Japan is looking for a person to fill the position of Business Development Manager based in Phnom Penh.

Announcement Positions

  • Location : Phnom Penh
  • Working hours: Full-time 40 hrs/week
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Salary/ Compensation: 950 USD

Responsabilities

  • Promote arsenic remediation technology in Cambodia in community and household segments
  • Develop a quick appreciation of the patented arsenic and iron removal technology
  • Connect with different stakeholders in the water industry such as government, NGO’s, commercial and industrial establishments to create demand
  • Map the demand for arsenic remediation and help in preparing business proposals
  • Liaise with end users, influencers, regulators, donors and decision makers to conclude contracts for projects
  • Assist in preparing detailed project reports (DPR) as per local authorities’ requirements
  • Coordinate project execution and update headquarters on progress
  • Assist in developing local capabilities for operation and maintenance of the units
  • Conduct outreach programmes for promoting the technology, crating awareness among citizens on its benefits thereby increasing its adoption over the long term
  • Provide insights into any other problem related to water and help ICCW to introduce /develop new technologies to resolve those problems.

 Requirements

  • Graduate in Engineering or Science or WASH related degree
  • Post Graduate diploma or degree in business administration is preferable
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in water industry or WASH sector
  • Networking relationships with key stakeholders in the water ecosystem
  • Be able to work independently and team work
  • Willing to learn and self-motivate to learn
  • Be able to travel to and stay overnight in provinces
  • Good verbal and written communication in English and Khmer
